Maurice Leblanc was good crime writer who created famous villain Arsene Lupin. Like Fantomas, Arsen Lupin is very complex character, gentleman thief and some sort of Robin Hood. He is perpetually tailed by Herlock Sholmes, mock version of Sherlock Holmes. Arthur Conan Doyle pressured him to change his name to protect his own character. This particular novel is pretty good, where Arsen Lupin shows his tender side, and is almost caught by Herlock Sholmes.
