Edited by Peter Haining, this great book over 600 pages long is divided into three sections : Crime (where we follow adventures of criminals), Detection ( stories featuring police detectives ), and Punishment (where private eyes come into play). Amongst well known stories there are dozens of new ones that I haven't read before. Great collection.
