Very good crime novel about lonely cop who investigates suicide of fellow cop and goes too far when mob hits him, killing his wife. In his pursuit of vengeance he becomes some sort of rogue cop and takes the law in his own hands. Seldom has corruption been so vividly portrayed than in this novel.
